Getting your online prescription and repeat prescriptions are easy through Bettr. Controlled drugs that require printing and signing by a doctor are not available; this includes strong painkillers, sedatives, methylphenidate and duromine.
Most common medications can be prescribed through an online consultation. This includes both existing and ongoing prescriptions, plus medications that might be prescribed to you during your appointment with your Bettr doctor.
How to pick up your prescription
When the Doctor prescribes you medication during your consultation through Bettr, you can choose to have them delivered directly to you or pick them up from a local pharmacy of your choosing.
At the end of your consult the Doctor can send the prescription directly or can send you an SMS (text) with a link. Simply click the link and choose between home delivery or browse to find your nearest pharmacy for pick-up. Pick a time you’d like to pick up your prescription: now, later or as soon it's ready. The Pharmacy will send a text confirming your order and will arrange the rest.

Online prescription NZ
Most common medications can be prescribed on the spot during your Bettr appointment and then either delivered straight to you, or sent to the pharmacy of your choosing for you to pick up when it's convenient. Occasionally, for some medications, we'll need you to come in to see us in a clinic before we can finalise the prescription, and controlled drugs cannot be prescribed through Bettr.
Repeat Prescriptions NZ
If you're enrolled with us as a patient, and have already been prescribed a medication previously, you can easily get a 'repeat' prescribed through Bettr with minimum fuss.
Scripts are available to both enrolled and new patients but please note that in some circumstances - including any new patient getting a new prescription for the first time - the doctor may request you to see a GP in person first, depending on the medication. Standard medication charges apply.
